Bouira – Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Mrs. Fazia Dahleb, announced on Thursday during a working visit to the Wilaya of Bouira, the establishment of over 12,000 green clubs nationwide, with more than 2,500 of these clubs equipped with the necessary resources.
During a press conference, the minister explained that the goal of these green clubs is to raise awareness about environmental protection.
Mrs. Dahleb, who inaugurated several projects of her sector in Bouira, stated, “We will soon launch a new tender to equip the remaining green clubs.”
During a ceremony held at the main library in Bouira, the minister honored representatives of green clubs from educational institutions, psycho-educational centers, and environmental associations as part of the celebrations for World Environment Day.
The minister also visited various pavilions of a local environmental exhibition, which included about fifty exhibitors, among them associations and green clubs from educational institutions.
In her statement to the press, the minister emphasized, “Our policy focuses on educating and raising awareness among future generations about the necessity of protecting the environment. We are working with the Ministry of National Education to establish green clubs within educational institutions.”
