Fifth Military Region Mobilizes Resources to Combat Wildfires
The Algerian National Popular Army has mobilized all its land and air components in the Fifth Military Region to contribute to ongoing firefighting efforts. This comprehensive deployment, confirmed by a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, underscores a significant national response to the wildfires.
Among the specialized equipment deployed by the Army are Beriev Be-200 firefighting aircraft. Additionally, Mi-26 helicopters belonging to the Air Force have been enlisted to support the extensive operations.
This broad mobilization by the National Popular Army aims to bolster the efforts of Civil Protection services and the Forest Conservancy.
