Algiers – The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has set Saturday, September 14, as the date for the first round of the Ligue 1 “Mobilis” 2024-2025 season, according to the schedule released by the federal body on Thursday on its official website.
The second round of the local championship will take place on September 21, as per the same source.
The 15th and final round of the first half of the season is scheduled for Friday, December 27, and Saturday, December 28. The competition will pause from January 19 to February 1, 2025. The 30th and final round will be played on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Additionally, the Round of 32 of the Algerian Cup is set for December 20 and 21, which will see the entry of Ligue 1 clubs into the competition.
The Super Cup for the 2023-2024 football season will take place on Friday, January 17, or Saturday, January 18, 2025.
It is noteworthy that the team of MC Alger won the local championship for the 2023-2024 season, marking their eighth title in history. The club now has an opportunity to achieve a double this season, as they will face their city rivals, CR Belouizdad, in the Algerian Cup final on Friday, July 5, at the 5 July Olympic Stadium (17:00).
