Kaël Boutach Commits to Algeria, Team Builds Future

Coach Brahim Hemdani unveiled Algeria's national football squad on Thursday, September 17, at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, marking the official commencement of preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The 26-man roster, comprising three goalkeepers, nine defenders, six midfielders, and eight forwards, is set to begin Algeria's campaign with crucial matches. The team will host Zambia on September 25 at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, followed by an away fixture against Burundi on September 29.

A notable success in these efforts is Kaël Boutach, the Olympique Lyonnais talent, who has expressed his desire to represent Algeria internationally. Born in France to Algerian parents in 2006, Boutach reportedly stated his dream is to play the World Cup with the Algerian national team. The newly announced squad also features key players such as Monsef Bakrar from Al Ahly and Mohamed Bachir Belloumi of Hull City, reinforcing the team with both established and emerging talents. An international friendly against Niger is also scheduled for October 6 at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed Stadium, providing further opportunities for player assessment and team development.
