Algiers Institution Enhances Road Safety for New School Term

The Institution for Traffic and Urban Transport Management of Algiers Wilaya has undertaken a series of field interventions aimed at strengthening traffic safety and protecting students in preparation for the upcoming school year. These proactive measures underscore a commitment to ensuring a secure and orderly environment for students returning to educational institutions across the capital.

The interventions encompassed several key actions to upgrade urban transport infrastructure. This included the installation of new protective barriers, the renewal of horizontal and vertical signage, and the comprehensive painting of sidewalks and pedestrian crossings. Furthermore, existing protective barriers around educational establishments were prepared and repainted, enhancing both visibility and physical safety for young commuters.

Beyond direct traffic management, the institution also played an active role in the second edition of the educational institutions cleaning campaign within Algiers Wilaya. This broader initiative contributed to fostering a clean, organized, and safe surrounding environment for the new school entry, demonstrating a holistic approach to student welfare.
