Samsung Plant Reinforces South Korea-Algeria Industrial Ties

South Korea has reaffirmed its industrial commitment to Algeria, underscored by the recent visit of its Ambassador to Algeria, Min Kyung-tae, to the Samsung smartphone assembly plant on Tuesday, September 22. This facility operates in collaboration with a local partner, manufacturing smartphones within Algeria.

The Embassy of Korea in Algiers highlighted that South Korea serves as an “optimal partner” for Algeria. This partnership aims to support the diversification of Algeria's economy and enhance its digital capabilities by encouraging local technical talent and disseminating global manufacturing standards.

Beyond direct production cooperation, South Korea also contributes to the development of future generations' digital talent through educational initiatives, including programs such as the Samsung Innovation Campus. The embassy expressed its ongoing commitment to strengthening strategic and technical cooperation, alongside fostering partnerships focused on youth, to achieve shared, future-oriented prosperity between the two nations.
