President Tebboune Fixes 2027 Hajj Cost at 82 Million Centimes
The Joint Permanent Multisectoral Committee for Hajj Organization has announced that the cost for the 2027 (1448H) Hajj season will be fixed at 82 million centimes for each Algerian pilgrim. This decision comes after the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youcef Belmehdi, proposed the cost, which has been maintained despite an increase of approximately seven million centimes recorded for this season.
The committee, led by Dr. Redouane Maach, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, expressed its appreciation for President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's support regarding Hajj costs and his commitment to fixing the price. The President's intervention ensures that pilgrims can undertake their religious duty under stable financial conditions.
Preparations for the 2027 Hajj season are actively underway, with Dr. Redouane Maach overseeing a meeting of the Joint Permanent Multisectoral Committee at the Ministry's headquarters. The gathering included Dr. Tahar Braik, Director-General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, along with representatives from various relevant sectors and bodies involved in Hajj affairs. Discussions focused on monitoring the progress of organizational, administrative, and logistical aspects, as well as work programs for the different sectors. The meeting emphasized reinforcing coordination, integration, and elevating readiness levels, all aimed at guaranteeing the best possible conditions for Algerian pilgrims.
