Air Algérie Resumes Direct Flights to Doha

Air Algérie has officially announced the resumption of its direct flight services connecting Algiers with Doha. This development follows a temporary suspension and marks a positive step in enhancing air connectivity for Algeria. The national carrier confirmed the availability of flights, inviting passengers to book their journeys to the Qatari capital.

The direct Algiers-Doha route had been suspended for several months, with Air Algérie previously citing the security situation in the Middle East as the reason for halting services to various destinations in the region, including Doha. This decision, initially announced in February and maintained into March, aimed to ensure the highest safety and security standards for passengers and crew. The reintroduction of this route signifies a return to regular operations, providing travelers with renewed access to Doha.

Bookings for the resumed service are now open, with the first available flight scheduled for September 29, 2026, according to the airline's reservation system. Fares for a one-way trip start from 64,610 Algerian Dinars, inclusive of taxes and fees, while round-trip options begin at 75,600 Algerian Dinars. Air Algérie also confirmed that any unused taxes remain refundable. This resumption will support travel and strengthen ties between Algeria and Qatar, offering new avenues for discovery and experience.
