President Tebboune Welcomes Scientific Diaspora Council Members

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recently hosted members of the High Council for the National Scientific Community Abroad in Algiers. The meeting, held on Sunday at the Al-Mouradia Palace, brought together key figures focused on leveraging Algerian scientific expertise from around the world.

The session saw the participation of several prominent officials, including Ibrahim Murad, Minister of State, Inspector General of State Services and Local Collectivities; General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army; Kamal Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Mohamed Seddik Ait Messaoudane, Minister of Health; Wassim Kouidri, Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry; Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises; Nasreddine Ben Taifour, Advisor to the President for Education, Higher Education, Vocational Training, and Culture; and Soufiane Chaib, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, charged with the National Community Abroad. This broad ministerial presence highlights the national importance placed on the council's mission.

The High Council comprises Algerian scientific experts residing in various countries, including the United States, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Germany, and France. Their collective involvement, facilitated by this direct engagement with the President, signifies a concerted effort to integrate the skills and knowledge of the Algerian diaspora into national development strategies.
