In a recent meeting with representatives of the national press, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune confirmed that thorough investigations have been initiated concerning the preliminary results of the presidential elections held on September 7, 2024.
President Tebboune explained that these investigations were launched at the request of the three presidential candidates. He emphasized that he had ordered meticulous inquiries to uncover the events leading up to and during the announcement of the preliminary election results.
“The investigations are ongoing,” President Tebboune stated, adding, “At times, there are individuals who fail to live up to the standards of the constitutional institutions they represent.”
He further mentioned that the results of these investigations will be made public to inform the general populace. The aim is to expose any personal influences or actions that might have sought to sway the election results. President Tebboune stressed that no conclusions could be drawn about any individuals until the investigations have been completed.
