President Tebboune Addresses the Status of His Potential Visit to France

During a recent press conference with national media representatives, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune discussed the much-anticipated visit to France, confirming that such a visit is currently unlikely.

In his first press interaction since being re-elected for a second term, President Tebboune used the well-known French phrase, “I will not go to Canossa,” to emphasize his reluctance to make the trip at this time.

In a related context, President Tebboune criticized France, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, for failing in its duty to uphold international peace and security. Instead, he accused France of supporting the Moroccan regime and its oppressive, expansionist policies.

Furthermore, the Algerian president condemned France’s recognition of the so-called “autonomy proposal” for Western Sahara, calling it an example of France’s double standards in dealing with international issues.
