Algiers – On Tuesday evening, Minister of Veterans and Rights Holders, Laïd Rebika, visited the Mohamed Boudiaf Olympic Complex in Algiers to oversee the final preparations for the historic artistic performance, “Spirit of Algeria.” This event is part of the preparations for celebrating the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian Revolution, according to a statement from the Ministry of Veterans.
The statement emphasized that the artistic production, directed by Ahmed Rezak, aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to preserve Algeria’s collective memory and safeguard its historical legacy. Through this work, the ministry aims to honor the Algerian War of Independence, with all its human and liberation dimensions, by narrating various historical periods of Algeria leading up to the glorious revolution.
Minister Rebika highlighted that “Spirit of Algeria” reflects the state’s commitment—led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune—to protect national memory. The performance symbolizes the grandeur of the Algerian people, who launched one of the most significant revolutions in modern history, and affirms their steadfastness in defending independence and national unity.
