Lebanon: Death Toll from Israeli Aggression Rises to 3,642 with 15,356 Injured

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which began in October 2023, has reached 3,642 martyrs and 15,356 injured, according to the latest figures from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Escalating Attacks and Casualties

In the past 24 hours alone, 59 people have been killed, and 112 others injured, as the Israeli military carried out 134 airstrikes across various regions of Lebanon. The majority of these strikes targeted southern Lebanon (54 airstrikes), followed by Nabatieh (48 airstrikes), Baalbek-Hermel (17 airstrikes), and Mount Lebanon (15 airstrikes). The total number of assaults has now reached 13,976 since the aggression began.

The Ministry’s report reveals devastating statistics:

  • Children: 231 killed and 1,346 injured.
  • Women: 674 killed and 2,697 injured.
  • Healthcare Sector: 214 healthcare workers killed and 321 injured.

Displacement Crisis

The aggression has triggered a large-scale displacement crisis. Over 1.2 million people have been forced to flee their homes, with many seeking refuge in overcrowded shelters. Currently, there are 1,177 shelter centers in operation, including 720 educational institutions. Of these, 976 shelters have reached their maximum capacity.

Ongoing Humanitarian Catastrophe

For more than a year, Lebanon has endured relentless Israeli attacks, resulting in thousands of casualties and widespread displacement, particularly in the southern regions. The scale of destruction and humanitarian needs continues to escalate, highlighting the urgent necessity for international intervention and support.
