The headlines of Algerian national newspapers, published today, Tuesday, highlighted the success of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) on the eve of its closure, emphasizing Algeria’s central role in continental integration.
El Nasr newspaper featured on its front page: “President Tebboune Proves Algeria is a Platform for Continental Integration,” referencing an analysis of remarks by former Nigerian President and IATF Advisory Council Chairman Olusegun Obasanjo, who affirmed that “the meticulous organization, rich meetings, and qualitative deals reflect Algeria’s serious commitment to serving the African integration project.”
The paper included an article titled “The Fourth Edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair in Algeria is the Most Successful,” discussing the event’s success through an interview with Ayman El-Zoghbi, Director of Trade, Investment, and Financial Cooperation at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). El-Zoghbi explained that numerous agreements were signed, particularly benefiting Algerian companies, which demonstrated their immense capabilities across various fields.
El Nasr also quoted Ismail Al-Samouri, Chairman of a Mauritanian fishing company, who praised the impeccable organization of this edition under the theme “Bridges to New Opportunities.”
Under the headline “Excellence… An Algerian Stamp,” El Jumhouria newspaper’s editorial analyzed the manifestations of the event’s success, particularly the volume of deals and agreements signed. It stated that the fair “aims to elevate African industry and investment to high levels of quality, efficiency, and competitiveness, especially as the Black Continent is beginning to sense upcoming challenges and prepare to overcome them, raising the bar for future stages.”
The editorial linked the success to “reforms in the national economic legislative framework in finance and investment, which have encouraged economic localization in Algeria within a win-win partnership framework, as well as the overall environment created by these laws, ensuring smooth transactions free from bureaucratic hurdles.”
El Massaa newspaper, in bold print, declared: “Algeria, Pride of Africa,” quoting representatives of African financial institutions who agreed on the “distinguished success” of this edition, attributing it to factors such as the financial value of signed deals and the impeccable organization.
E-Bours focused on the event’s success, publishing an article titled “Important Recommendations Expected at the Close of the Fourth Edition of the African Trade Fair,” explaining the factors behind this edition’s success as a space for promising partnerships that will contribute to the anticipated African renaissance led by its youth.
Its editorial highlighted the pivotal role of the People’s National Army in economic development, particularly in automotive manufacturing, agricultural machinery, and military industries, positioning it as a model for strengthening industrial sovereignty that Algeria aspires to.
Le Quotidiens d’Oran devoted significant space to analyzing the promising prospects of this edition, which achieved its objectives. It cited the signing of nearly ten contracts benefiting Algeria in enhancing local production and supporting intra-African exports, reinforcing Algeria’s position as a key economic actor on the continent.
Le Quotidien d’Oran also featured interviews with representatives of participating delegations, echoing the fair’s outcomes.
El Khabar analyzed the positive impacts of the signed deals, describing them as “pure African victories,” and included interviews with delegation representatives.
Overall, the national press celebrated the fair’s success and Algeria’s leading role in African integration, with anticipated economic benefits exceeding $44 billion in deals, as confirmed by multiple sources.
