Algiers – On Friday, September 12, 2025, MC Alger secured a crucial victory in their challenging away match against league leaders Olympique Akbou, defeating them 1-0 in one of the fourth-round fixtures of the Algerian Ligue 1 “Mobilis” football championship. Meanwhile, JS Kabylie suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-0 to MC Oran, as reported by aps.dz.
At their home ground, Olympique Akbou, one of the league’s frontrunners, failed to capitalize on the valuable draw they earned in Tizi Ouzou the previous week, marking their first loss of the season. They were defeated by defending champions MC Alger, who secured the win with a goal from their international defender Halaimia in the 8th minute, a lead they maintained until the final whistle.
