Algiers – JS Kabylie will play the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round against Tunisian side US Monastir on Friday, October 17, at the Taïeb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax, starting at 3:00 p.m., according to an official statement from the host club.
The Algerian vice-champions, JS Kabylie, secured their qualification by defeating Ghana’s Bibiani Gold Stars both home and away (2–0 in Accra and 5–0 in Tizi Ouzou). The return leg against US Monastir is scheduled between October 24 and 26 at the Houcine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou.
The other Algerian representative, MC Alger, also advanced to the next round after eliminating Liberia’s FC Fassel (0–0 in Monrovia, 3–0 in Algiers). The capital club will face Cameroon’s Colombe du Dja et Lobo, who qualified by defeating Senegal’s Jaraaf (0–0 first leg, 1–0 second leg).
The first leg will be played in Cameroon, while the return leg will take place in Algiers.
