Blida, Algeria – Minister of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, also responsible for the Supreme Council of Youth, announced today the completion of renovation and refurbishment works on over 600 youth institutions nationwide. The announcement was made during a visit to Blida on Saturday.
The initiative, aimed at improving the infrastructure available to young Algerians, ensures that these facilities are fully operational for the new 2025/2026 activity season. The renovated centers are expected to provide enhanced opportunities for recreational, educational, and cultural activities for young people across the country.
Minister Hidaoui emphasized the importance of investing in youth development and providing safe, modern spaces for them to engage in positive activities. He stated that the refurbishment project reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the aspirations and needs of Algerian youth. “These centers are vital for fostering a sense of community, promoting creativity, and empowering young people to reach their full potential,” he noted.
The renovation works encompassed a wide range of improvements, including structural repairs, modernization of equipment, and upgrades to recreational areas. The revitalized centers are now equipped to offer a diverse range of programs and services, catering to the varied interests and needs of the youth population.
