Algeria’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youcef Belmahdi, departed today for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition. This year’s event is themed ‘From Mecca to the World.’
The conference, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program, will be held in Jeddah from November 9th to 12th, 2025.
Senior officials from the Ministry’s central administration and the National Hajj and Umrah Office were present at Houari Boumediene International Airport to bid farewell to the Minister.
During his participation, Minister Belmahdi is scheduled to sign the Hajj Services Agreement for the year 1447 AH/2026 with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah. This agreement outlines the provisions and arrangements for Algerian pilgrims undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage.
The Hajj Conference is a prominent annual international gathering that brings together experts, specialists, and representatives from various countries and organizations. It serves as a platform to showcase the latest solutions and innovations in the Hajj management system.
The event features over 80 dialogue sessions and 60 specialized workshops, with the participation of academics, researchers, and representatives from Hajj affairs offices. It is expected to benefit more than 2,400 trainees from around the world. The conference aims to enhance the efficiency and quality of services provided to pilgrims, ensuring a smoother and more fulfilling Hajj experience.
