Algiers, Algeria – Ooredoo Algeria has donated a range of medical and technical equipment to two university hospitals in Algiers. The donation, made in collaboration with the national patient support association “Win Nelga,” aims to bolster the capabilities of the public health sector and enhance patient care.
The beneficiary hospitals are the pulmonology department at the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine University Hospital in Bab El Oued and the oncology surgery department at the former Debussy General Surgery Clinic, now an annex of the Mustapha Pacha University Hospital’s medical center.
The official handover ceremony took place at Ooredoo’s headquarters, with the Director General of Ooredoo, Rony Tohme, in attendance, alongside senior company officials, representatives from the hospitals, and members of the “Win Nelga” association.
The donation includes a variety of essential medical equipment, such as surgical instruments, surgical trolleys, medical refrigerators, and air conditioners. The equipment is intended to improve the working environment within the hospital facilities and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rony Tohme stated, “Through this symbolic initiative, we express our gratitude and deep appreciation to the medical community and all healthcare workers who dedicate themselves daily to serving patients.”
