Algiers, Algeria – A new cooperation agreement has been signed between Algeria’s Saidal Diagnopharm and China’s Mindray, marking a significant step towards bolstering local production in the medical diagnostics sector. The agreement was formalized during the LabForum scientific forum, under the auspices of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry.
The core objective of this partnership is to enhance the domestic manufacturing of diagnostic reagents used in hematology, biochemistry, and immunology. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on imports and foster greater self-sufficiency in critical healthcare supplies.
The signing ceremony coincided with the 20th anniversary of the partnership between Saidal Diagnopharm and Mindray in the Algerian medical diagnostics market. The anniversary was celebrated under the theme ‘Transforming Diagnostics Through Innovation and Advanced Technologies,’ underscoring the long-standing and productive collaboration between the two entities.
The LabForum event brought together a diverse group of Algerian and international experts who engaged in discussions on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, digitalization, and medical biology.
