Algiers, Algeria – In a ceremony held today, Algeria and Somalia formalized several key agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation across various sectors. The signing, overseen by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and visiting Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, marks a significant step in bolstering relations between the two nations.
The agreements span a wide range of crucial areas, reflecting a commitment to mutual growth and development. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Somali Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education. Furthermore, an executive program was established between the two education ministries, outlining specific initiatives for the years 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029.
