Minister Stresses Need to Improve Public Services for Citizens

Algiers – Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, has emphasized the critical need to enhance public services in the execution of sector programs for the benefit of citizens. The focus is particularly on improving and simplifying administrative procedures.

According to a statement released by the ministry on Tuesday, Minister Saihi underscored that streamlining these processes is essential for ensuring that citizens can access the services they are entitled to efficiently and without unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles. He stated that the ministry is committed to implementing measures that will make a tangible difference in the daily lives of Algerians.

“Our priority is to ensure that the services we provide are accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the public,” said Minister Saihi. “We are actively working to identify and eliminate unnecessary complexities in our administrative processes.”

The minister’s remarks come as part of a broader government initiative to modernize public administration and improve citizen satisfaction. The Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security is playing a key role in this effort, focusing on areas such as employment services, social security benefits, and labor dispute resolution.

Several initiatives are reportedly underway to achieve these goals, including the digitalization of services, the training of personnel, and the establishment of clear performance indicators. The ministry aims to create a more citizen-centric approach to public service delivery, ensuring that individuals can easily navigate the system and access the support they need.

The ministry’s statement further indicated that ongoing consultations are being held with stakeholders, including citizens, businesses, and civil society organizations, to gather feedback and ensure that the reforms are aligned with the needs of the population. This collaborative approach is seen as vital for the success of the initiative.
