Algiers, November 13, 2025 – Algeria is set to host the fourth edition of the African Startup Conference from December 6th to 8th, 2025. The event, held under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will welcome Rwanda as the guest of honor.
Preparations for this significant continental event are well underway. Today, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouahdani, presided over a press conference at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture, outlining the objectives and scope of the upcoming conference.
The conference aims to gather ministers, government officials, international organizations, entrepreneurs, investors, and technology leaders from across Africa and beyond. Participants will engage in discussions focused on sharing expertise, formulating ambitious policies, and fostering collaboration in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development.
This year’s summit expects the participation of 40 African ministers, senior officials from the African Union, and partners from international organizations. Key discussions will center on public policies designed to enhance innovation ecosystems and support the emergence of leading African companies.
The African Startup Conference seeks to transform African entrepreneurship from potential to performance by showcasing a continental market for ideas, technologies, and opportunities geared towards innovative African youth. The event underscores Algeria’s commitment to fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem and promoting economic growth across the continent.
The conference is expected to generate significant interest and investment in the African startup scene, further solidifying the continent’s position as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
