Israeli Forces Conduct Incursions in Quneitra, Southern Syria

Quneitra, Syria – Israeli forces conducted two incursions into the Quneitra region of southern Syria on Monday, according to reports. These actions mark a continuation of alleged violations of international agreements and Syrian sovereignty.

The first incident involved three Israeli military vehicles entering the village of Abu Madhra in the Quneitra countryside. Reports indicate that the forces established a temporary checkpoint, conducting searches of civilians and agricultural land before withdrawing.

Later in the day, a second incursion occurred when a unit of Israeli soldiers, traveling in two four-wheel-drive vehicles, entered the area between the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah and the town of Khan Arnabah. This force reportedly established a military checkpoint on the road before also withdrawing.

The villages of Abu Madhra, al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah, and Khan Arnabah are located in close proximity to each other within the Quneitra region, near the ceasefire line. These areas have allegedly been subjected to repeated incursions by Israeli forces.

These actions are perceived as violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement, international law, and relevant United Nations resolutions. The alleged incursions are viewed by some as a continuation of Israeli aggression against Syrian territory.
