Israeli Forces Conduct Second Incursion into Quneitra, Syria

QUNEITRA, Syria – Israeli forces conducted a second incursion into the Quneitra region of southern Syria earlier today, according to reports from the ground. This marks another instance of heightened tensions in the area near the ceasefire line.

According to local sources, the Israeli military established a checkpoint on the road connecting the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah and the town of Khan Arnabah. The Israeli forces reportedly entered the area using two four-wheel drive vehicles before withdrawing. This follows a similar incident earlier in the day.

Earlier this morning, three Israeli military vehicles reportedly entered the village of Abu Madrah, also located in the Quneitra countryside. During this incursion, a temporary checkpoint was established, and individuals passing through the area, as well as some agricultural land, were subjected to searches before the forces withdrew.

The villages of Abu Madrah, al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah, and Khan Arnabah are situated in close proximity to each other in the Quneitra region, near the ceasefire line. These areas have been frequently subjected to incursions by Israeli forces.

These actions by the Israeli military are viewed as violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement, international law, and United Nations resolutions. The repeated incursions continue to raise concerns about the stability of the region. DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
