Severe Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Algerian Provinces

Algiers, November 19, 2025 – The National Meteorology Office has issued a weather alert for several provinces across Algeria, warning of significant thunderstorms and heavy rainfall expected throughout the day.

The alert specifically targets the provinces of El Oued, El M’Ghair, Touggourt, Ouargla, Ghardaia, El Menia, and Timimoun. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions due to the potential for flash flooding and hazardous driving conditions.

According to the National Meteorology Office, the thunderstorms are predicted to bring intense rainfall, strong winds, and possible hail. Visibility may be significantly reduced during the storms, further increasing the risk of accidents.
