Heavy Snowfall Expected Across Several Algerian Provinces

Algiers, Algeria – The National Meteorological Office issued a special weather advisory today, Friday, warning of significant snowfall across several provinces in Algeria over the next 24 hours. The advisory, released this morning, forecasts heavy snow beginning this evening and continuing through Saturday.

According to the statement, snowfall accumulations are expected to range between 10 and 20 centimeters in several regions, commencing from 3:00 PM today and lasting until 3:00 PM tomorrow. The provinces most affected by this weather disturbance include Bouira, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, and Bordj Bou Arreridj.

A separate advisory indicates that snowfall ranging from 5 to 10 centimeters is anticipated in the provinces of Skikda, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, and Khenchela. This period of snowfall is expected to begin at 9:00 PM tonight and last until noon on Saturday.

Furthermore, the provinces of Blida, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, and Medea are also predicted to experience snowfall, starting from 6:00 PM this evening until 9:00 AM tomorrow. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed about potential disruptions.
