Algeria and Tunisia Sign 26 Bilateral Agreements to Strengthen Economic Cooperation

Today, 26 bilateral agreements were signed between Algeria and Tunisia during the opening of the 22nd session of the Joint Algerian-Tunisian Grand Committee for Cooperation. The Prime Minister, Ayman Ben Abderrahman, disclosed that these agreements span various sectors, including energy, industry, commerce, transportation, tourism, investment, culture, digitalization, housing, youth, sports, vocational training, national education, labor, social welfare, and veterans.

Ben Abderrahman emphasized that the signed agreements, along with the session’s proceedings, outline a roadmap for future joint efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation. He expressed confidence that this significant economic event, aligned with Algeria’s ongoing investment reforms, would mark a substantial step in the Algerian-Tunisian partnership towards economic integration and integrated development.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the discussions allowed a comprehensive understanding of the current state and future prospects of Algerian-Tunisian relations. It shed light on achieved gains, ongoing and future projects, and common challenges, urging collaborative efforts, shared ideas, and coordinated actions to effectively address them.

He concluded by reaffirming the shared will to advance in the development and diversification of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the completion of existing projects and exploring new avenues for partnership and investment based on a mutually agreed roadmap that outlines priorities and common objectives.
