Ilan Kebbal Unhappy with Limited Algeria Role

DZWatch Exclusive: Ilan Kebbal’s position within the Algerian national team appears to be a source of growing concern for the player. Following limited playing time during the recent training camp, which included matches against Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia, the Paris FC winger is reportedly frustrated with his perceived role as a permanent substitute for Les Verts.

Kebbal, known for his pace and attacking prowess, has reportedly voiced his unease, sending a direct message to national team coach Vladimir Petković. He emphasized the need for increased playing time to demonstrate his full capabilities. “The only way to show my potential is to be given a longer opportunity on the field,” Kebbal is quoted as saying.

Despite his disappointment, Kebbal affirmed his commitment to the national team, stating his readiness to contribute whenever called upon. He added that his future with Les Verts is contingent on his performances with his club, Paris FC. His immediate priority, he emphasized, is to continue excelling in the French league to maintain his international standing.

Kebbal further noted that his current focus is on his club, particularly as they strive to return to winning ways. He suggested that discussions about the national team are not his priority at this time. This season, Ilan Kebbal has been a standout performer for Paris FC, featuring in 13 matches and contributing to nine goals. This strong form fuels his desire for a more significant role with the Algerian national team in the future.
