Algiers, Algeria – Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the Algerian People’s National Army (ANP), received Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, in Algiers on Thursday, according to a statement released by the Ministry of National Defense.
The meeting was attended by department heads and central directors from the Ministry of National Defense and the ANP General Staff, as well as members of the accompanying Russian delegation.
During the discussions, both parties reviewed the progress of military and technical cooperation between Algeria and Russia. They also addressed matters of mutual interest, signaling a continued commitment to strengthening ties in the defense sector.
Algeria and Russia maintain a strong strategic partnership, particularly in the realm of military cooperation. This meeting underscores the ongoing dialogue and collaboration between the two nations on defense-related matters.
