Specifically, the prosecution requested a 10-year prison sentence for the main defendant, the Director-General of the “SIDAR” group (A.L.). An 8-year sentence was sought for the Assistant Director-General of Administration at the El Hadjar Iron and Steel complex (A.M.CH.).

Furthermore, the prosecutor requested a 6-year prison sentence for the Director of Exploitation at the National Recovery Institution (A.A.), in addition to six other defendants. A 5-year prison sentence was requested for defendants (B.H.) and (B.A.).

For the defendants currently at large, the prosecution requested a 15-year prison sentence for the CEO of the National Recovery Institution (B.A.), and a 10-year sentence for the defendant (CH.A.A.). The remaining defendants face sentences ranging from 3 to 6 years.

In addition to the prison sentences, the prosecution also requested that the accused companies be fined between 5 million and 32 million Algerian dinars.

The defendants face charges related to abuse of power in violation of laws and regulations, with the aim of granting unjustified advantages to others, deliberate squandering of public funds, and granting unjustified privileges to concerned parties.
