Algeria’s Civil Protection services have reported a series of interventions across the country in the last 24 hours, including fatal traffic accidents and cases of gas inhalation. According to the latest data, six people have died in traffic incidents, and sixteen individuals suffered from gas inhalation across various provinces.
The Civil Protection services recorded a total of 3,376 interventions during this period, averaging one intervention every 25 seconds. This highlights the constant activity and dedication of the emergency services in responding to the needs of the population.
Specifically, regarding traffic accidents, the Civil Protection units responded to 173 incidents. Tragically, these accidents resulted in the deaths of six people and injuries to 208 others. The severity of these incidents underscores the importance of road safety and responsible driving practices.
Furthermore, the services addressed 15 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning, leading to 15 instances of gas inhalation. Sadly, one of these cases resulted in a fatality. This underscores the critical need for vigilance regarding gas appliances and proper ventilation, especially during the colder months. Authorities continue to urge citizens to take precautions to prevent such incidents.
