Algiers, Algeria – Ahmed Attaf, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs, received Her Excellency Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to the United Nations in New York, on Tuesday in Algiers.
The meeting took place on the occasion of Algeria hosting the 12th edition of the High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, known as the “Oran Process,” according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Algeria and Guyana, particularly within the framework of multilateral cooperation at the United Nations. The “Oran Process” serves as a crucial platform for African nations to address pressing issues related to peace, security, and development on the continent.
Minister Attaf’s reception of Ambassador Rodrigues-Birkett highlights Algeria’s commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration with international partners in pursuit of shared objectives.
