Algiers – A nationwide initiative has been launched to encourage support for the Algerian national football team, Les Verts (The Greens), during the FIFA Arab Cup 2025. The program aims to draw larger crowds to youth institutions across the country by providing designated spaces to watch the matches.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth, seeks to foster a safe and communal atmosphere where young people can gather to watch the games. The goal is to provide comfortable and engaging environments for fans to support the national team. This also presents an opportunity to introduce young Algerians to the diverse services and activities offered by youth institutions throughout the various provinces.
Youth centers, hostels, scientific entertainment complexes, cultural centers, local sports facilities, and youth camps will all be equipped with dedicated viewing rooms. These spaces will feature large screens and ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all attendees throughout the tournament, which runs from December 1st to December 18th.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to cultivating a positive environment that strengthens national pride and brings young people closer to their community institutions. The effort is being coordinated with the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of Sports, and the Algerian Football Federation.
By providing these spaces, the Ministry of Youth hopes to galvanize support for the national team and promote a sense of unity and national identity among Algerian youth during the Arab Cup.
