President Tebboune Receives Credentials from New Ambassadors

Algiers, December 7, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune formally received the credentials of five newly appointed ambassadors to Algeria in a ceremony held today at the Presidential Palace.

The ambassadors represent the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Lebanon, the Slovak Republic, and the Republic of Chile. This event signifies the strengthening and continuation of diplomatic relations between Algeria and these nations.

According to a statement released by the President’s office, the newly accredited ambassadors are: Ahed Sweidat, representing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; Emad Saab Saab, representing the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Ali Al-Mawla, representing the Republic of Lebanon; Marek Morán, representing the Slovak Republic; and Juan Claudio Valenzuela, representing the Republic of Chile.

The presentation of credentials is a formal diplomatic procedure that marks the official commencement of an ambassador’s duties in their host country. It symbolizes the trust and recognition extended by the sending state to the receiving state, and allows the ambassador to fully engage in diplomatic activities.
