Tunis, Tunisia – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib arrived in Tunis today, accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, for an official visit focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia. The visit coincides with the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint High Commission for Cooperation.
The Prime Minister was received at Carthage International Airport by Tunisian Head of Government, Sarah Zaafrani, marking the commencement of discussions aimed at bolstering the strategic partnership between the two nations.
This session is a direct result of the directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Tunisian counterpart, President Kais Saied, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering brotherhood and historical solidarity between the two countries and their respective populations. It represents a significant step towards deepening bilateral ties and elevating them to match the robust relationship that already exists.
Discussions during the commission are expected to cover a wide range of key issues, including the promotion of bilateral partnerships, support for investment initiatives, and the removal of obstacles hindering the development of economic exchanges. Both sides are keen on enhancing cooperation in areas related to the development of border regions, with the goal of transforming them into zones of collaboration and prosperity.
