Tlemcen has paid tribute to the late President Ahmed Ben Bella with the inauguration of a memorial and the launch of a blood donation drive in his name. The Minister of Veterans Affairs, Abdelmalek Tachrift, accompanied by the Governor of Tlemcen, Youssef Bechlaoui, and in the presence of Mahdia Ben Bella, daughter of the late president, civil and military authorities, members of the revolutionary family, and civil society representatives, laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the iconic figure in Place Kairouan, Tlemcen.
The ceremony preceded the commencement of a national conference focusing on the life and legacy of Ahmed Ben Bella.
