The Governor of Algiers, Mohamed Abd El-Nour Rabhi, accompanied by the President of the People’s Provincial Assembly, Mohamed El Habib Benboulaid, conducted a field visit Tuesday to inspect projects under the ‘Yellow Plan’. This initiative is part of a broader strategic vision to develop and modernize the capital city, focusing on expanding the road network.
The Governor began his tour in Cheraga municipality, where he reviewed the progress of the fourth tunnel construction on National Road 41. This project aims to alleviate traffic congestion and increase the road’s capacity, ultimately improving traffic flow in the area. Detailed briefings on the project’s technical aspects were provided.
The delegation then proceeded to Staoueli municipality to examine the expansion work at the entrances of the Sidi Fredj-Palm Beach tourist expansion zone, specifically the engineering structure connecting National Roads 41 and 11.
During the visit, Governor Rabhi emphasized the need to equip both projects with the necessary resources and equipment to ensure their completion and delivery before the start of Ramadan. He also instructed officials to improve the entrances adjacent to the fourth tunnel in Cheraga municipality and to organize traffic flow in the surrounding areas. Furthermore, he ordered the beautification of the environment around the project sites.
The engineering structure on National Road 11, part of the tourist expansion zone entrance widening project, has been put into service. This aims to regulate traffic flow, especially during the summer season, reflecting the capital’s strategic orientation towards development and modernization. The project is expected to significantly ease access to the popular tourist destination.
DZWatch will continue to monitor the progress of these projects and their impact on the city’s infrastructure.
