Rome, Italy – The competition for Algerian international Rafik Belgali is heating up, with AS Roma reportedly joining Juventus and Inter Milan in the pursuit of the talented player. Belgali’s impressive performances have caught the eye of several top Italian clubs, setting the stage for a potential transfer battle.
According to reports, Roma’s sporting director has been closely monitoring Belgali’s progress. The rising star currently plays for Hellas Verona.
The interest from these major clubs suggests that Belgali’s future at Verona is uncertain. While a move in the upcoming winter transfer window is possible, a summer transfer appears more likely. Hellas Verona may prefer to wait for the most lucrative offer, potentially even seeking a six-month loan deal to retain Belgali’s services until the end of the season.
In other news, Cagliari is reportedly interested in another Algerian player, Fares Ghejmi. Ghejmi, who is currently showcasing his best form, has attracted attention from clubs like Sassuolo and Bologna in Italy, as well as Anderlecht and Gent in Belgium. Cagliari, however, seems particularly determined to secure his signature, with their coach Guido Angelozzi reportedly a big admirer of the player.
It remains to be seen whether Cagliari will make a move for Ghejmi in the winter or wait until the summer. However, an early move seems the most probable.
Ghejmi’s current form suggests he is ready to play at a higher level, and many expect him to remain in Italy. However, a move abroad is not out of the question, particularly if it guarantees him regular playing time.
