Trump Warns Iran, Eyes Syria Peace, Reaffirms Greenland Interest

President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran on Friday, suggesting potential military action while simultaneously expressing his desire for peace and stability in Syria. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump asserted that Iran is in “big trouble” amidst widespread public protests, reiterating his threat of military intervention.

He stated that he anticipates the Iranian people “taking control of certain cities,” a development he claims was previously unimaginable. When questioned about his message to Iranian leaders, Trump responded, “They better not start shooting because we’re going to start shooting also.” He added, “If they start killing people – like they have in the past – we’re going to intervene,” clarifying that this would involve “hitting them very hard in the place that hurts” rather than deploying ground troops.

Regarding Syria, President Trump emphasized his aspiration to see the country achieve peace and success, noting that the United States maintains a “good relationship with the Kurds and the Syrian government.” He expressed his belief that Syria is on a path towards success and that the crisis is nearing its end.

The President also addressed the issue of Greenland, reaffirming his intention to pursue an agreement with Denmark to acquire the island. He indicated his willingness to achieve this goal through both amicable and assertive means. “I like Denmark also, and I have to tell you they’ve been very nice to me,” Trump stated, adding, “But, you know, them getting there on a ship 500 years ago doesn’t mean they own the territory.”

Trump insisted on the strategic importance of the United States acquiring Greenland to ensure its security, stating, “We can’t let Russia or anyone else get a hold of it.” He suggested a deal could be reached “the easy way,” but implied a more forceful approach if necessary.
