The Directorate General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic has expressed its deepest condolences following the death of journalist Nakhla Larbi, who passed away after a long battle with illness.
Nakhla Larbi was a prominent figure in Algerian journalism, most recently working for the French-language channel of Algerian television. Her career spanned both print and broadcast media, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
In a statement released today, the Directorate General conveyed its profound sorrow, stating, “It is with great sadness and regret that the Directorate General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic received the news of the death of journalist Nakhla Larbi, who worked for the French-language channel of Algerian television, after a long struggle with illness.”
The statement further highlighted Larbi’s early career in print journalism, where she contributed to the daily newspaper El Watan. She joined the public television broadcaster in 2010, quickly establishing herself as a respected and insightful voice.
