Algiers – Goalkeeper Luca Zidane has expressed his feelings following Algeria’s exit from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). In a heartfelt statement, Zidane acknowledged the pain of elimination but emphasized that it marks neither the end of the road nor the end of the team’s ambition.
In a post on his official Instagram account, Zidane conveyed his disappointment at the team’s premature departure from the continental tournament. However, he stressed a sense of pride, particularly as it marked his first participation in the AFCON finals.
‘Proud to wear the Algerian Jersey’
The goalkeeper highlighted the immense honor of representing Algeria, the land of his ancestors, considering it a privilege beyond measure. He stated that this experience, despite the harsh reality of elimination, will remain etched in his memory.
