The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, held a coordination meeting on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters with officials from the central administration. According to a statement from the ministry, the meeting was dedicated to evaluating the results of activities carried out between January 22 and February 2, 2026, and reviewing the implementation of instructions and directives issued during previous meetings.
The Minister listened to detailed presentations provided by central administration officials regarding various achievements. These reflected a positive dynamic and continuous efforts aimed at improving, modernizing, and simplifying procedures for public service access, particularly through the adoption of remote digital solutions.
In this context, the Minister praised the recorded results while calling for redoubled efforts to further simplify administrative procedures and accelerate the pace of service digitalization, especially remote services, to ensure improved service quality and the establishment of transparency and performance efficiency.
Saihi stressed the necessity of strictly addressing any violations or practices that could harm the interests of citizens or hinder the simplification of procedures. He emphasized the importance of strengthening periodic monitoring and control mechanisms for services provided by supervised bodies and taking necessary corrective measures in case of any recorded imbalances.
Within the framework of improving the management of supervised bodies, the Minister focused on the importance of adopting the principle of efficiency in administrative and financial management and the optimal use of human resources as the true wealth of the administration. He called for valuing certificates and qualifications obtained by employees after recruitment as part of an incentive policy that encourages learning and contributes to increasing performance productivity, which positively reflects on the quality of public service and the transition from traditional to modern management.
The Minister also called for establishing the principles of transparency and equal opportunity in recruitment competitions, prioritizing competencies and top performers, and adopting electronic human resources management (TED) within a strategic guidance plan based on a methodology of objectives and results to enhance good governance.
Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the need to rationalize and optimize expenditures without affecting the rights of users, particularly regarding services and benefits provided by social security. He stressed that management must follow a precise plan linked to clear objectives and results that can be evaluated and monitored.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Saihi called for intensified coordination between various structures and the adoption of periodic performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement of public service and to strengthen citizen trust in an administration that is at their service and disposal.
