Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa, winger of Dutch club Feyenoord, has emerged as a key target for English side Newcastle United during the current summer transfer window, according to media reports released on Sunday.
Dutch outlet Football Primeur revealed that Newcastle have intensified their efforts in recent days to secure the deal, following a request from German coach Matthias Jaissle. The manager had previously attempted to sign Hadj Moussa during his time in charge of Saudi club Al-Ahli, but the player opted to continue his career in Europe at that stage.
Hadj Moussa remains under contract with Feyenoord for four more seasons. However, the Dutch club is reportedly open to letting him leave if a suitable financial offer is made.
