CNAN Algérie Launches West Africa Maritime Route

The national navigation company, CNAN Algérie, has inaugurated a new regular maritime line establishing a direct connection between Algeria and several cities in West Africa. This service will link Algerian ports with Nouakchott and Nouadhibou in Mauritania, as well as Dakar in Senegal, with a scheduled frequency of one crossing every 30 days. The launch of this line signifies a concrete step towards reinforcing Algeria's national maritime transport capabilities and leveraging its existing fleet.

This initiative, announced by the Ministry of Interior, Local Collectivities, and Transport, reflects a commitment to strengthening Algeria's position in maritime transport and expanding its network of sea links. The new connection is designed to facilitate commercial exchanges between Algeria and West African nations, while also presenting new opportunities for Algerian economic operators to engage with international markets.
