CNAN El Djazair Establishes West Africa Monthly Shipping

Algeria is actively working to reinforce its national maritime transport capabilities, particularly targeting West African markets, under directives from the Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Saayoud. This initiative aims to strengthen Algeria's foreign trade and expand its economic network across African markets, facilitating exchanges with regional and international partners. The strategy underscores a commitment to developing a robust maritime connection network.

As part of this effort, the national company CNAN El Djazair operates a regular shipping line that links Algerian ports with three primary destinations in West Africa: Nouakchott and Nouadhibou in Mauritania, and Dakar in Senegal. This service runs monthly, providing consistent maritime transport options for economic operators. The expansion of these maritime routes to West Africa represents a significant step towards enhancing Algeria's regional engagement, especially as trade increases and logistical corridors become more crucial for delivering Algerian products to external markets.

The regular service is intended to support both exports and imports, fostering a smoother flow of trade between Algeria and countries in the region.
