President Tebboune Orders Wildfire Origin Investigation

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has directed specialized services to conduct thorough investigations into the origins of recent massive wildfires that affected several provinces. During a visit to the Zeralda Grand Burns Hospital to inspect injured individuals, President Tebboune stated that he does not rule out the possibility of criminal activity behind the blazes. He noted that while strong winds initially hampered firefighting aircraft, the intensity with which the fires began suggested a potential criminal element, affirming that comprehensive inquiries would be undertaken.

The President's visit to the hospital was documented in a video published by the Presidency, showing him speaking directly with several burn victims and conveying his wishes for their swift recovery. He received detailed explanations from medical staff regarding the conditions of those he visited. President Tebboune assured that all injured individuals, including those with severe conditions, would receive full medical care and support at the Zeralda Grand Burns Hospital.

President Tebboune was accompanied during his hospital visit by high-ranking officials, including the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, General Saïd Chengriha, and the Minister of Health, Mohamed Seddik Ait Messoudan. This collective presence underscored the government's commitment to addressing the aftermath of the wildfires and investigating their potential causes.
