Prime Minister Nadir Arabawi chaired a government meeting today, Wednesday, dedicated to discussing an executive decree aimed at enhancing budgetary control as part of the public finance governance reform. This project is designed to promote transparency and accountability in public expenditure to achieve maximum efficiency.
The government also reviewed measures related to implementing the President’s directives on achieving food security, particularly in strengthening national grain storage capacities.
Following the President’s instructions during the Cabinet meeting on June 23, 2024, concerning overcoming administrative obstacles to youth employment in youth and sports facilities in the southern provinces, the government adopted several measures to commence the employment process in stages. Relevant sectors were tasked with taking all necessary arrangements to meet the set objectives for managing and activating various youth and sports structures in the concerned provinces, with the involvement of the Supreme Youth Council.
Finally, the government listened to a report on the national major risks report for 2023, emphasizing the need to adopt a proactive and preventive approach, enhance early warning capacities, and reviewed measures to strengthen the national forest fire prevention and combat system, including the mobilization of water-bombing aircraft.
