The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has introduced a QR code to facilitate the registration process for new baccalaureate graduates, allowing them easy access to the registration platform.

In a ministerial notice, Minister Badari’s office stated that this measure is part of their efforts to digitize the sector and simplify the registration process through the platform established for successful students.

The notice added that new students must use the QR code when accessing the platform, which has been enhanced with three new applications to avoid losing the opportunity to register in the desired specialization.

Regarding the calculation of the weighted average for enrolling in the desired fields, the ministry clarified that if the calculated weighted average for a new baccalaureate holder is lower than the minimum required weighted average, they will be directed based on their overall baccalaureate score, which must meet or exceed the minimum required weighted average for fields such as medical sciences: medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.

Furthermore, a national ranking of baccalaureate holders’ requests will determine a national minimum average after processing the preference forms for admission to one of the three medical sciences fields.

For holders of foreign equivalent baccalaureate certificates, admission to medical sciences fields and higher schools requires passing a language proficiency test. Additionally, admission to the National Higher Schools of Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics for holders of foreign equivalent baccalaureate certificates requires passing a mathematics proficiency test, the statement added.
