National Bus Stations Expand Digital Services, Travel Routes

Sogral (National Company for the Management of Bus Stations) has intensified national passenger transport services and significantly enhanced its digital offerings. These measures are part of a broader set of initiatives aimed at ensuring a successful 2026-2027 social entry period and improving conditions for citizens and travelers at bus stations. The initiatives are implemented under the directives of the Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Said Sayoud.
The company adapted and intensified passenger transport schedules nationwide from Thursday through Sunday, coordinating with various national transport directorates to meet citizen needs. Digital services have seen substantial upgrades, with online booking now available at 64 bus stations, enabling citizens to view schedules and purchase tickets remotely. Additionally, Sogral has deployed 133 electronic payment devices across its stations and increased the number of electronic ticket sales counters, further bolstering convenience. The official launch of a round-trip ticket purchasing service also allows travelers to secure return tickets from their departure points or purchase tickets for others remotely.
Improvements in service quality are also notable, particularly following the deployment of new imported buses, a direct outcome of a decision by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. To enhance reception and flow within stations, Sogral has increased staffing for operations, commerce, security, and prevention activities, alongside expanding baggage storage offices. Commercial corridors and external spaces at bus stations have been made accessible to merchants and artisans, providing citizens access to essential supplies for the social entry. Furthermore, reading areas have been opened for waiting passengers, and dedicated platforms and stopping areas have been allocated for university transport buses, ensuring safer and more comfortable travel for students. These comprehensive measures underscore Sogral's continuous commitment to improving service quality and station readiness, catering to citizen needs and providing suitable travel and reception conditions.
